Summary of Position:

  • The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for providing vision, sales leadership, business management, direction, coaching and development for a team of Specialty Sales Representatives reporting to him/her within an assigned geography, while achieving or exceeding SKLSI’s business goals across the same geography

About the Opportunity:

The Market Development Manager (MDM) will create SKLSI awareness in the CNS marketplace by developing, maintaining, and leveraging relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), High Volume Prescribers (HVPs), medical associations, advocacy groups, and promotional medical education groups to advance strategic initiatives. Additionally, the MDM will identify and support opportunities with medical associations and government agencies that would benefit patients and clinicians. The successful candidate will partner with Sales and Sales Leadership on strategic initiatives that will advance SKLSI’s position within the CNS marketplace. The MDM will operate as a strategic partner to several Commercial and non-Commercial SKLSI teams (Medical Affairs, Medical Science, etc.), and will support SKLSI Business Development efforts through acquisition of competitive and marketplace intelligence.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with national and local KOLs/HVPs in therapeutic area, and work closely with them to find opportunities for product differentiation
  • As a contributor within promotional Medical Education, this position will support a number of activities which include: KOL/HVP engagement plans, congress planning, execution of and reporting of scientific encounters, web conferences, product theatres, symposia, training meetings, and professional organization identification
  • Partner with the Marketing department on initiatives related to the identification, recruitment, training and management of SKLSI speaker bureau members
  • Collaborate with Marketing department and medical education partner on the planning and execution of advisory board meetings (as approved by the SKLSI Compliance department in the Business Needs Assessment [BNA])
  • Interact frequently with Field Sales and Sales Leadership to implement strategies associated with approved business plans and to ensure marketing programs support their direct and indirect needs and drive topline growth
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships cross-functionally to ensure alignment on strategy and messaging within the scope of projects
  • Contribute to the development of the annual brand business and budget plan, strategy and objectives
  • Participate, when appropriate, in the Marketing component of Copy Review Committee approval process of promotional materials
